Lawn laying

Fresh grass being planted for a lawn.

  1. cela doit être un travail très dur. Je n'imaginais pas que cela se passer comme cela pour faire une pelouse.

it must be very hard work. I never imagined that this would not happen as to make a lawn.

  2. I think here the seed is scattered to germinate, or else turf is commercially grown, then cut and rolled up like a carpet, then rolled back out into place.

  3. I've never seen it done like this. The ways I know are the same as Uselaine has said. This way must be back breaking.

  4. I agree with everyone above me: this is very interesting as it is a completely different method to what we are used to. So the grass growth elsewhere first (a greenhouse maybe?), then is transplanted when it is strong enough, right? Seems like a lot of work indeed.
